The Heart Award

The Heart Award recognizes organizations that have risen to the extreme challenges caused by extraordinary events—such as an emergency, natural disaster or other crisis—and demonstrated outstanding leadership in responding to the public and serving families, employees and other survivors directly impacted by the event.

Rules and other Information

An organization does not have to be a member of the Foundation to receive recognition, but it must display the tenants of corporate social responsibility in placing people at the forefront of both emergency response situations, as well as the ongoing support of employees, customers, the public and others during times of tragedy.

The Foundation’s Board of Directors will select and announce the 2009 Heart Award Recipient by December, 2009.
