Sharing The Journey Award
The Foundation honors two winners with the "Sharing the Journey™" award each year on a discretionary basis. The first will be awarded to an employee who has contributed to helping survivors, above and beyond the expectations of their daily job. This may or may not be related to a formal response and also could include any activity where an employee of a member organization has personally contributed to a survivor in need of assistance.
The second the "Sharing the Journey™" award is presented to a survivor who has offered assistance that furthers the Foundation’s mission of empowering people following tragedy. Examples include speaking in classes and workshops, volunteering, and helping other survivors.
Rules and other Information
The next Sharing the Journey award will be given at the 2009 Family Assistance Foundation Symposium.
An individual does not have to be a member of the Foundation (or their company) to receive recognition, but they must exhibit the qualities and actions detailed above for both employees and survivors.
