Integrating the Losses

Air Disaster Memorials From Around the WorldThis video was produced by Higher Resources for the Family Assistance Foundation. It was introduced at the first annual Family Assistance and Emergency Preparedness Symposium of 2002. This powerful 3-minute video is set to the music of Amazing Grace, performed by the U.S. Air Force Bagpipe Band. It shows air disaster memorials from around the world and is ideal for setting the mood for training family assistance teams and other emergency response personnel. BOOKSHandbook for Human Services Response: a practical approach for helping people
Over 18 years of research on survivors of airline, rail, military and other disasters led to the development of a practical approach to helping survivors that can be easily understood by front-line helpers and those who wish to train them. The book features interviews with survivors, families of victims, agency and organization helpers as well as interviews with an airline executive, head of police family liaison officers, military commander, commander's wife, national trauma coordinator of 34 accident and trauma units of a private health care group in South Africa, an executive with a rail company and others. The book is international in scope, featuring stories of survivors and helpers from various parts of the world. Cost: $25.00
When Someone You Love is Grieving
During the first year following the crash of Delta 191, in 1985, Carolyn recorded her feelings about the lack of understanding and assistance that was available to her.
